The biggest problem I have had here is asking a question that I think is good, and only getting moderate to low turn out from respondents. I have to believe that I either ask lousy questions or just ask at the wrong time and get buried in the wave of questions that is always coming.
As for spelling errors I am a stickler on this. There is a spell checker provided by Yahoo and it should be employed. Nevertheless I understand your frustration but also understand this is an open forum. World wide open.

I don't know...
Just kidding! I've only posted one question and didn't have that happen, but I've seen it happen to other people. Usually with the typo situation, it's because the typo completely changed the question or just because with the spell check button so readily available, they can't understand why you still have typos. The main times I've seen people "yelled" at for their question was when it was one that gets asked ALL of the time or when they were making an ignorant statement or just ranting.

People just want points and w/e, their loss for not giving a good enough answer, they definitely won't be picked for a best answer!! Just ignore them maybe say "Please don't answer, if you have nothing to say..." I know I say "I don't know" a lot, but that's just because I really really really need more points. Sorry but some people are kind of rude, me included...
If they yell at you it's probably because they don't agree in religion/politics/whatever as you, screw them! It's ok just say, "I guess we don't believe in the same thing here. Sorry to hear that." And move on!
People get bored a lot and like to check spelling very closely. If they do this, don't change it! Make them really really mad! jk jk If they do this, don't feel obligated to change it, just put as an extra detail, "Don't hassle me for spelling!" Hopefully they will get the hint.....hopefully.
Yes, it's happened to everyone

Actually, I rarely get the "I don't know"'s...
If I do, though, I feel better because I don't feel so stupid: I know that I'm not alone because someone else doesn't know the answer either.
It doesn't hurt...they took the time to read, ponder the question, and answer....they get 2 points...it's part of the process.
Take Care....

Some people are just playing a game to accumulate points.
"I don't know" will get them 2 points for an answer.
Same as the most profound insights into the cosmos.
Let them play their game.
Personally -- I like to play for the 10 points awarded for BEST ANSWER!

Yes, I hate that.
As much as I hate it when people ask stupid questions, or use abbreviations because they're too lazy to type out a whole word.
There are a lot of people out there with a lot of problems.
