We've been together for more than one year. I had deep feelings (still have) for this guy. He called me last night and said we have to break up. He told me he doesn't feel what I feel and it would be selfish of him to accept my love without giving anything back. Does it make him any better after all?

Wow....thats hard...but the real answer is...No you can not make him love you. It is better to end it now then to wait later down the road and him still not love u and maybe even cheat....be thankful he told u the truth.

He has just shared with you he is not interested in continuing the relationship. Even if he stays you will regret it. Accept his honesty and find someone that will love you. But, before you jump into another relationship, take some time and find out who you are and find some love for yourself and know that you are worth more than being a woman willing to hang on to a man that does not want to be there. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that, but at least he's being honest. Sometimes the truth hurts, but move on and find someone who will accept your love and return it. Good Luck!

You can not make anybody love you. He has told you in a very nice way that he does not love you.
You should respect his decision and have a little respect for yourself as well.

If he doesn't feel anything after a year, there's probably not much you can do.

Don't you deserve somebody who loves you wholeheartedly?

You can't change him anymore than that guy who used to have a crush on you couldn't change you. I know you don't know who I'm talking about but I assure you it has happened.
