The tree revealed man's nature it did not change the nature of man.
The tree of knowledge of good and evil represents God's righteousness the law.
The law did not perfect a man nor did it make a man evil but revealed to man his sinful nature and his need for God,
The atonement does make a man new, The tree of life God's mercy through Jesus Christ our lord.

We would still have sin, just wouldn't know we were sinning. The tree gave Knowledge of good and evil allowing us to know when we were doing good or doing evil.
Adam and Eve had no way of knowing they were doing wrong by eating the fruit in the first place so incurred no sin when eating of the fruit. If you read carefully you will find that it was not the eating of the fruit that removed us from the Garden of Eden but rather as God says "....lest they put forth their hand and eat also of the Tree of Life and become as we are...." is why we were evicted. Once we had Knowledge the only thing separating us from having all the power of God was immortality.

The Bible does not say that Adam and Eve were "perfect" or "sinless" before they disobeyed God and ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Adam and Eve were "innocent" because they were ignorant concerning good and evil. Some theologians say that the first sins were Adam and Eve's disobedience when they ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This may or may not be true, but the fact is they were warned that if they ate of that forbidden fruit they would die, and they did.
So, the correct answer is, if Adam and Eve or any of their descendants hadn't disobeyed God in this one commandment that He gave them, then we would be in a condition of "innocence", we would not be "perfect" or "sinless".

Well...yes... except then there would still be the thing that the tree wouldn't just disappear, it would stay there and anyone could probably eat from it. There's a book called Martian Dust, and it has lots of little stories in it. They're all good, but one tells a story of a planet found where the people picked to live with God and not eat the fruit. I LOVE that story!

i think of mankind has been so hung up over intercourse they in no way extremely paid interest to the myth. that's not approximately intercourse. that's approximately judging the international in terms of sturdy and Evil, some thing we've been warned against. a splash experience with Aramaic, the idioms/figures of speech of the term will show all of it, basically pronounced, yet because of the fact we are Western, 2 thousand years bumped off (a minimum of) and function little grounding interior the way of existence, we study in in spite of we decide on incredibly than basically use the idioms recent on the term. Had no longer something to do with intercourse, individuals. study it lower back. that's not what led to the concern. I strongly urge you to study a sturdy e book, noted as: Idioms of the Bible, through Mr. Lamsa, a Bible student with experience in Aramaic, the way of existence, and a protracted time of study. No New Age nonsense, basically sturdy study and ingredients.

I WILL not believe that there are human beings living in the 21st century that actually believe that a talking snake made a women eat 'forbidden fruit' and if she hadn't we'd all be living in paradise. That is the most depressing, irrational, deluded thing I've ever heard.
Forget global warming. Forget AIDS. Forget nuclear war. Forget a thousand mile wide asteroid hitting the Earth. If people really do believe this, humanity is well and truly screwed!

I don't think there is such a thing as perfection. If Eve was tempted by the fruit, then I am sure that that same temptation would have eventually occurred in one of their descendants.
