Gotta love that one !!!

The Catholic Church defines purgatory as a "purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven," which is experienced by those "who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified" (CCC 1030). It notes that "this final purification of the elect . . . is entirely different from the punishment of the damned" (CCC 1031).

The purification is necessary because, as Scripture teaches, nothing unclean will enter the presence of God in heaven (Rev. 21:27) and, while we may die with our mortal sins forgiven, there can still be many impurities in us, specifically venial sins and the temporal punishment due to sins already forgiven.

Purgatory is ONLY FOR THE SAVED. It is NOT a second chance, and it is NOT a third place. If I were to make an analogy; Imagine two houses across the street from each other. One house is Heaven, and one house is Hell. Now, imagine that on the front porch of the Heaven house there is a shower, because nothing unclean can enter the Heaven house. Well that porch and that shower is Purgatory. As the Bible says, and as the young lady in the link says, "nothing unclean shall enter [heaven]" (Rev. 21:27).

As usual Revelation 21:27 is only partially quoted so as to support a false argument. Rev.21:27; '... and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it (heaven), but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.'
So it depends on whether your name is in the book of life - not that you need further purification etc.

Sorry to disagree but the bible makes it clear that the righteous will receive a new and incorruptible body at the resurrection. That is how we become pure and able to stand in the presence of God.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Your doctrine is that we are cleansed of only SOME unrighteousness? ("we may die with our mortal sins forgiven, there can still be many impurities in us.....") Should I believe you or the Bible.......

I'm sorry, but one person's delusional rambings about what an imaginary sky pixie does or does not do, does not make your delusions any more real.
