tattoos are not that much defined in the bible. it does mention to not mark nor mar your body as its a temple. to do a tattoo would be like spray painting grafity on a church or something.
It also talks about making no referrence to the dead in these marks.
so in my opinion, by what the bible says.... your lower back is fine as its just art, your bikini line is fine as again, art. your cousin one shouldnt' be there as its for someone who is dead. I understand why you did it, I'm just stating what the bible says.
now are you going to go to hell cause of them? thats between you and G_D, not me to say as I am not the one who judges. plus a tat is a sin, just as a lie is a sin. sins are forgiven if repented.
plus the bible states we are not held responsible for what we do not know. so if you had NO CLUE that tats were wrong against the bible when you had them done, in my eyes by what hte bible says you can't be held for that sin. BUT... now that I have at least mentioned it too you (sad to say), if you go have another done.. then you are in direct violation of the bible and G_D normally bumps that sin up to an abomination. Not a good thing to have against you.
I myself pondered over a tat for some 12 yrs. Being native indian I wanted a complete life like bear hide band around my ankle with beeds and drawings and then 3 life size feathers drapping down onto my foot and wrapping around it. Was going to be a very big project. But I never did it cause of the dead reason. I was going to have it done in honor of all the dead indians before me.

We're not perfect and God knows that so he sent His Son to die for us, so no I don't think that you will go to hell for some measly little tattooes, it matters what you feall in your heart and not what is on the outside. Remember, " For the the Lord does not see as man sees; For man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

why do you think that way?
There is no hell or heaven to go to.
If you have been good your next birth will be good, if you have been bad your progress is hindered.
Every action performed for you you accumulate Karma. The only way to be one with Him is to do selfless work. Br the best you can be, work with the knowledge that it all belongs to Him.
You will have nirvana.

Assuming a god exists...if he were so petty that he would send a person to hell for having tattoos...well...I think I'd WANT to go to hell rather than spend eternity with him.

Be for real.
God is not going to banish you to damnation for all eternity for a tattoo. There is a commandment that says not to worship false idols, so as long as you worship God more than your tattoos I think you will be O.K.

No I don't think so. Tattoes are not sinful the bible has been misquoted on this many times. It says not to cut for the dead. I don't think it is sinful to do so. I just personaly wouldn't want one.

nope... you don't go to hell for tatoos....
Please.... there are so many other things to worry about.....
My feeling... If you are a good person... who loves others...you go to heaven. The end!
The rest are just a bunch of rules created to "manage" us.
