You don't say what kind of fish. If you are talking about pan fish, walleye northern or similar species, what I so is first fillet the fish and soak in cold water.

Mix a couple cups of flour in a Ziploc bag with SeasonAll until you can begin to see a pinkish hue to the flour. Them I put some milk in a bowl. Meanwhile I like to use Crisco shortening and melt about a 1/2 inch in a heavy skillet.

Once the oil is hot, I drag the fillet through the milk and drop into the flour mixture to coat thoroughly. Then fry about 5 minutes per side for 3/4-1 inch thick fillets. The fillet when done should look white and flake apart easily with a fork. We fry potatoes or home fries to go with this. I figure if you are going to have one greasy thing like this, why not ruin the whole diet and have fried spuds too.

Hope it is great!

I like Peanut Oil or Canola Oil to fry fish in a cast iron frying pan. I also like House of Autry Fish Breader Mix cause I don't have to add a thing.

I prefer to use milk soak for the fish and dip in cornmeal, Bay Seasoning, Coarse Salt and Fresh pepper, if the family ask for spice I'll add ground red pepper to hotten the flavor. They like their catfish crispy and lightly golden. It comes up yummy every time. Add some hushpuppies, french fries, cold slaw or potato salad or fried okra patties and ice tea and Viola it's a finger lickin great gathering!

Fresh fish, a little oil in the pan, dip the fillets in beaten egg, then coat them will very fine bread crumbs and fry. MMmm-mm good! Try a little lemon juice on the finished product. We eat it every Friday, using Victoria Lake Perch from Tanzania. It's Europe's current favorite. Talapia goes good too.

Old Bay Seasoning, buttermilk, and cornmeal
Just season the fish, then soak it in the buttermilk, coat it in cornmeal and fry! You'll love it. If that's too much, there are several premade fish fry batters

Open and clean fish (white or bass). Have fish pan spread thick with butter, and lay fish in. Season with salt. Over this pour two well-beaten eggs, and dredge with flour. Bake three-quarters of an hour, and baste with butter and water. Garnish fish plate with parsley.

I make a flour for dredging with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, cumin and chili powder. Then I make a batter of flour, all those seasonings, and a beer. Dredge, dip, fry. My husband swears by my fish. :)

soak the fish in chilli powder mixed with salt, add some turmeric powder (very little) add a very little lime juice and wait for them to be soaked for one hour and fry them in oil, patiently.
