Some atheists will say 'We're the logical ones'...
Some xtians will say 'We're the ones going to heaven'...
Both answers are wrong. Atheists can't prove god doesn't exist any more than xtians can prove that he does. Atheists tend to follow evolution, science, and things of the sort, which is why they say they're logical, when there's plenty of xtians out there who follow the same things.
Even by xtian teaching, xtians don't get a free ticket to heaven for belief, while atheists are condemned to hell. They think we're all judged, and I don't think an 'all knowing, loving, and caring god' who judges everyone is going to give a child raping priest a ticket to heaven, then deny a ticket to an atheist who has spent his life doing good.
The logical argument, and the heaven and hell argument, are just either side saying 'I'm better than you'. That just defines childish people, not atheists and xtians.
Fact is, there is no defining difference between a xtian and an atheist. Not church, charity, family... nothing.
One believes in god, and the other doesn't. Any more than that is making false generalizations.

That's really the only inherent difference. An atheist who chooses virtue for philosophical reasons and a moderate, but true Christian could lead pretty much the same albeit for entirely different reasons.
All other differences stem largely from what we assume the terms mean within our cultural context. Still, atheists don't have to be selfish and Christians don't have to be aggresively evangelical, to adress two common stereotypes.

There isn't much else you can say that is going to be different between every atheist and every Christian. Not believing in God is the only thing that separates one entire group from the other.

What more difference could you have.
The atheist turns his back on the LORD God and accepts the consequences.
Jesus did believe his Father totally. What's more he did his Father's will. Because he obeyed God he was raised from death and is 'the first fruits of them that sleep'.
Jesus brought salvation to a sinful world, but only for those who love God and wish to serve Him.
Atheists have no future hope having strenuously rejected the things of God. Sad isn't it.

Umm that would be the difference
I don't see any
I'm sure Atheists will say all kinds of rude things about Christians being mindless sheep and that whole lot
I can't look at a person and tell what they believe.

Well, to believe in a god takes a lack of critical thinking, and to accept the god of the bible as a being worthy of worship takes a suspension of moral and ethical thinking as well.
It is hard to generalise about atheists, but I think they tend to be more compassionate and tolerant because their thoughts are not constrained by ancient dogma and taboo.

The term "Christian" means Christ-like. Believing that Jesus of Nazareth was the Christ or messiah, and he is your higher power to God. The term atheist means that you don't believe in any higher power.

Does an atheist know peace in their heart?
Does an atheist have the ability to put themselves last?
Does an atheist have the ability to suffer abuse patiently?
How do atheists love their enemies?
There might be many differences, but it is a difficult for me to answer, all I can do is to make a few guesses....
OK you don't like my ideas. If believing in God makes no difference, then no effect = no cause right? I think so anyway.

Actually, the Christian worships an omnipotent, infinite God, and the atheist worships a very small, finite god (his little 3 lb. brain).
The Christian believes that we were put here by a great Designer with a definitive purpose, and the atheist believes that we ended up here by accident, with no purpose, and first cousins of an ape!!!
