I like to know how your ego affects your life. Does it affect it in a postive or negative way? Personal answers only please. Thanks 2 all.

I try to not have an ego. I think a lot of times different circumstances can cause our egos to rise and puff up, but that's when humbleness comes in and we have to examine who we are in Christ and how He would act. He acts in love, not in being boastful or proud.

My ego? Which definition are we using? The part of the overall consciousness that is 'you,' or the selfish and self-aggrandizing tendency?
I make my choices with the first definition.
I live my life relying on the second definition to keep to my convictions.

Years Ago I went Through a "Ego Defeat" Period.
You can do it the Worlds Way (Carlos) (I didn't do it that way).
You can do it Jesus's Way--I did, it is Great!!!

My ego gives me great confidence to do what I want in my professional life, but it often fails me in my personal life.

My ego makes me bags of cash. My job is selling things to little old ladies, and my ego is necessary to seal the deal.

It has an entirely negative effect. You can spend most of your adult life trying to dispose of its childhood influence.

i can think too much of myself at times, not caring about what others think or sneering at their limitations. this egotistical attitude is usually present when i'm not doing well spiritually.
but it can also be positive, because i have enough self-esteem to be willing to take chances and be outside of myself.
