I told my house insurance guy I had a PitBull when I bought my house and all he said was, "Dont say PitBull anymore." You dont have to tell them you have a dog you know.

Boxers are not rated badly. I own one also and I got insured through farmers just fine. I was looking at the 10 most dangerous dogs on just one site and boxers were number 9. They are the sweetest dogs and are not usually violent or aggressive unless you make them. People in general persive them as mean just because the way they look...sorta like pits. I would just call insurance companys and get quotes. They will insure you no matter what though. When I worked for farmers they usually don't care or really ask...at least that agent. Good luck

Depends on your state. Boxers are not listed on any refused lists in Florida. Just went through this and thats why we decided on a boxer. We have State Farm, adn we had to get rid of a pitbull puppy we rescued. They do not cover our boxer if he bites someone, but they wont come after you for fraud or deny a claim like if you had a Pitbull, Doberman, Rottweiler, Shepherd, or Chow Chow. Call your current insurer to verify, but you should be fine.

I'm an insurance agent and usually an insurance company won't decline giving you coverage but will make a premium a little bit higher due to the higher risk rate. Liability insurance is the main thing that's going to cover you anyways in case your dog bites some one. Each state may vary. Just call an agent and ask.

Many have a list of dogs they will not insure. I have not seen boxers on these lists yet. I do know that allstate has a long list. Some will insure you but it will cost extra. Shop around, someone will take you.

I got this off the AKC site. See if it will help any. My ins is through farm bureau of kentucky, and haven't had any problems and we own 5 boxers and one lab.

I do not believe that Boxers are on "the list" of dangerous breeds.
