I don't mean a translation of the Quran, a surah book, a dua book... or anything of non-fiction

I am talking about FICTION--> like a story set in an Islamic Backround

I have been on the prowl and so far the only book i have found is the book Minaret
http://www.amazon.com/Minaret-Novel-Leila-Aboulela/dp/0802170145/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1195593016&sr=1-1

Do you know any other books set in time-periods (or not) having to do with Islam

Honestly, if i don't find a book, i may end up writing one (i need to find a story first)

lol, so, basically im looking for a fiction book, having to do with islam

I have heard about the Kite Runner
http://www.amazon.com/Kite-Runner-Illustrated-Khaled-Hosseini/dp/1594489602/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/002-1495171-0325629?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1186889736&sr=8-2

But like, it looked as if it dealt with terrorism, and the taliban.. i mean, i kinda was looking for something a lil diff

But send me the titles please and i'll check em out

Sister, I deeply from the heart suggest you not to read any fictional book having Islamic background. Thats my point of view ok. Creating stories and characters, fictional, I don't find it wise because that truly involves lots of lies n all.

There are many other interesting books, like of ahadith, past Incidents based on Islam, ok.. if I visit a book shop, I'll get some names for you, ok? tell me if you can understand urdu as well. :)

The Bible of course, it is a holy book to the Muslims too, but you did know that didn’t you?
Jesus is our second prophet, as you probably know.

Look at all the crusades in the name of our Lord and Jesus Christ. You shall not kill and the Christians did, didn’t they? Mr Bush mentioned that USA was on a crusade, didn’t he and a few minutes later he gave a pray.
