Yes, but there are two ways of doing this. ONE: he gets you command sponsored. The gaining commander has to approve of you coming to Korea. With that, you can get on base housing (if available), medical, and dependants can attend school on base. TWO: You can always move there yourself and live off base. You won't be command sponsored, so all your benefits will be "space available" on base, i.e. medical appointments, schooling, etc. He won't be able to get on-base housing unless you are command sponsored. If you do this one, look into all the reg's like having a passport, housing allowance, etc. The best way to find out is through your husband's sponsor in Korea, or the personnel assignment office at your base.

Can't you ask your husband?

Don't know about the Army specifics, but in the Air Force for Korea, a one-year "hardship" posting w/o spouse, and if you want to bring the family, you have to commit to two years.

Do you like experiencing foreign cultures? I thought my two years in South Korea was great fun, but I spent a lot of time off-base, "on the economy" as they say, riding the Korean busses, travelling around the country. Even refused base housing and lived outside the base, eating out wherever the Koreans ate and shopped. Sometimes the experiences were a bit uncertain and scary but always great fun.

Only if he gets Command sponsorship and approval. That is not always granted, not even for 2 year tours. and if he goes tot he DMZ, it will NOT happen. you won;t even be allowed to visit him or go over NCS.

It depends sometimes they may send them on a "unaccompanied" tour which would mean you could not go with him. You will have to check his orders.
