but all meating animals kill for food, humans included. However, humans also kill for pleasure in the name of sport or culture. Does the bible differentiate between killing of animals for food or pleasure or is it simply that we shouldn´t kill each other.

My apologies that I said kill and not murder. Does that make manslaughter acceptable

The commandment in question is actually "Thou shalt do no murder", which, as some have already mentioned, involves the intentional killing of another human being, for purely personal reasons...(in other words, killing in war is not "murder", although it is definitely not a healthy alternative to peace...)

That said, however, you do make a good point. People who kill for pleasure (and you have to be a bit twisted to get pleasure out of killing) in the name of sport or culture are abusing the world God gave to us. Cruelty should not be touted as a leisure time activity...nor should it ever be considered "fun"...
Out of all God's Creation, we are the only creature that kills for pleasure or sport.
Perhaps this has something to do with our fall from grace??

Edit:
What other meat eating animal hangs the stuffed head of it's lunch on the wall of it's cave as a "trophy"??

Another "shallow Bible scholar." The commandment is about murder; an act of hatred. Killing in war can be the result of hatred, and it can be the result of self-defense. So, if someone breaks into your home, and is intent on murdering you and your family, you would allow them to do so, as to stop them by killing them in self defense violates what God wants you to do, is that right? You would stand there and watch your child be murdered because it would be wrong for you to intervene, risking killing the perpetrator. God just wants you to roll over and die instead of stopping this guy from ever murdering anyone else again. The ten commandments were the core of a covenant made between God and Israel. No one else was a party to that covenant. Furthermore, that covenant ended. There is a new covenant, and it is not like the old one. Read Jeremiah chapter 31 and Hebrews chapter 8. You are Russian? Your command of English is quite good. .

This commandment actually means Thou Shalt Not Kill a Human Being. Many people expand it to mean animals, as well. My own personal opinion, and that held by many is that we not kill animals unnecessarily, except for food. Killing for sport, and then not eating the meat is wasteful.

I am sure that God did not give us animals to eat if he considered that they were included in the 6th commandment. God gave the Hebrews a list of clean and unclean animals, and animals were used daily in the sacrifices in the temple.

A sad truth of life is that you can't live for more than a few days and be entirely good at the same time. Sooner or later, if you should live, another must die. The only thing you can do is try to make the deaths of those that die as painless as possible. The way I see it, killing is only justified when the victim had bad intentions, and even then, one must differentiate between how bad their intentions are. Life is like a trap, where one has no choice but to do acts of evil.

There are many sad truths of life, and for you to fully realize them would drive you to insanity. We can only wait for the wondrous day that we die to be free from this... but even then, no one knows what awaits the dead.

Animal life is also sacred to the Creator. A Christian may kill animals to provide food and clothing or to protect himself from sickness and danger. (Genesis 3:21; 9:3; Exodus 21:28) But it is wrong to mistreat animals or to kill them just for sport or pleasure.

Proverbs 12:10- The righteous one is caring for the soul of his domestic animal, but the mercies of the wicked ones are cruel.

An interesting thing is that animals WERE NOT KILLED OR EATEN before the fall of man. People and animals LIVED IN PEACE, so if a person goes by the Bible eating animals is a sin....but then so is whereing clothes......the Bible contradicts itself soo much.

"Thou shalt not murder"-

(Manslaughter IS murder! so is slaying, execution, abortion, and suicide- taking a human beings life away in any way, shape, or form is against God's Law, otherwise, it would have included exceptions)

God provided various meats, poultry, fish, birds, etc for food, and up until He gave His own Son as a sacrifice for sins, He told the people to kill their best calf or lamb and use it to offer a sacrifice to Him for this. Whenever guests would come over, they would cook their best calf/lamb and give thanks to God for providing it.

However, killing of animals for a prize or pleasure sport is sinful and God did not bring these beautiful creatures into this world so that men could kill them for a sport and then enjoy/collect trophies, nor did He give them life only to provide furs for the rich, claws and body parts, for selling and making money/profit, or for man to form/join clubs and competition sports. (That's why so many are either extinct now or protected by the law and are close to being extinct-because of man)

There is a clear list in the Bible of which animals are for food and which ones are not fit for consumption.

I have included it here so that whosoever may know:

-------------------------------------------------------
1-2"God spoke to Moses and Aaron: "Speak to the People of Israel. Tell them, Of all the animals on Earth, these are the animals that you may eat":

3 -8 "You may eat any animal that has a split hoof, divided in two, and that chews the cud, but not an animal that only chews the cud or only has a split hoof. For instance, the camel chews the cud but doesn't have a split hoof, so it's unclean. The rock badger chews the cud but doesn't have a split hoof and so it's unclean. The rabbit chews the cud but doesn't have a split hoof so is unclean".
"The pig has a split hoof, divided in two, but doesn't chew the cud and so is unclean. You may not eat their meat nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you".

9 -12 "Among the creatures that live in the water of the seas and streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales. But anything that doesn't have fins and scales, whether in seas or streams, whether small creatures in the shallows or huge creatures in the deeps, you are to detest. Yes, detest them. Don't eat their meat; detest their carcasses. Anything living in the water that doesn't have fins and scales is detestable to you".

13 -19 "These are the birds you are to detest. Don't eat them. They are detestable: eagle, vulture, osprey, kite, all falcons, all ravens, ostrich, nighthawk, sea gull, all hawks, owl, cormorant, ibis, water hen, pelican, Egyptian vulture, stork, all herons, hoopoe, bat".

20 -23 "All flying insects that walk on all fours are detestable to you. But you can eat some of these, namely, those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground: all locusts, katydids, crickets, and grasshoppers. But all the other flying insects that have four legs you are to detest. "

-Leviticus 11:1-23 (*The Message Bible)

**NOTE: {Isn't it interesting that of all the animals on this earth, the ones God said we can eat are plentiful,God still provides, yet the very ones He said not to eat, are of the groups and species that are most quickly going extinct-some are already extinct or are rare species where very few still exist-yet those He said not to touch He takes away}

Yes - the word is "murder". In legal systems there has always been a recognized distinction between murder, in its various forms such as man-slaughter, 1st and 2nd degree murder compared with killing animals or killing people judiciously, or in war.

God gave man total dominion over the animals and beasts of the land, plus at 1st everything used to eat of the world, of the green herbs and plants. It was to be our meat. However when everything became junk, God said to them that they were allowed to eat of the meat of certain animals, and that others were unclean. Nowadays though, I think that since Jesus died for our sins it is okay for us to eat 'unclean' animals since we do not need to sacrifice an animal to take on our sins, we just need to have faith in God and Jesus. Killing for pleasure is wasteful to me, cruel, and I don't think it was what God had in mind (not saying I wouldn't hunt or fish if I planned to enjoy some good venison or fried fish when I can just buy stuff from the store, that's just enjoying the fruit of the land like God said).

The Bible does prohibit causing suffering to animals. However, G-d did not instruct man not to eat animals. Therefore, killing an animal for a reson is allowed but causing an animal to suffer unnecessarily is wrong.
