Every second person; either doesn't believe in religion, or just doesn't believe in christianity, and they let it known. It's really kind of frustrating but amusing at the same time. I just want to here your opinions. Just to let it be known, I am a christian, and I do believe in science too. Let me here your opinions.

Christianity on Yahoo Answers comes off as mind-programmed people spewing the same old propaganda. They do more to scare people off religion than the atheists do.

I do not believe so much in the need for religion.
Religion however fascinates me in the way a college experiment gone horribly wrong would.

Christianity is an interesting one for the fact that I am in the US and it is the most force fed religion of my country.
I am in the process of rereading the bible and since I do know more than I did when I was 16 (first time I read it) I find it much more entertaining yet it brings even more questions to mind as to why people believe this as much as they do. So yeah I am able to post more questions that may seem to insult the religion but seriously I am just trying to make sense of it.

You are currently in the Religion AND Spirituality section, not the Religion and mostly Christian section. And I think it is funny that you even wonder. Christianity, along with almost every other religion, has been spread forcefully over the centuries. If you know anything about history then you would know this to be true...and your b****n' about people peacefully making comments on Y!A - c'mon.

Why is it frustrating? I have a close relationship with God. He gives me guidance and direction and I thank and praise God every day for the blessings He has given me. I don't belong to a church or a religion. I'm just not comfortable giving myself a title other than, God's child. I worship Him every day through music and my garden. This is not my home, this is Gods home and I'm fortunate to live here. God is the center of my life and I would never make a decision unless I pray about it. He knows what is in my heart and He loves me just the way I am.

I think that there aren't more atheists than religious people however the religious people won't always voice their opinion because it'a really frustrating to share something you believe in so much and then see thumb downs and stupid jokes about such a fondamental subject.
I am religious bu half the time I won't answer on a religious question because I know the answer o top and the one below will be making fun of it.

We get all the trolls and bashers, especially this time of day. Most are bored kids without proper parental control. They obviously aren't gettting enough attention from mom and dad so they come here insulting and ridiculing, in silly attempts to get attention. It's sad, but nothing we can do about it except ignore them. Mature atheists hang out in sections they actually have interests in, which is not here.

Yes there are people who are not religious on here (myself included). It is for anyone to use though, and not just purely a christian category.

People come on for various reasons, and a person doesn't have to be religious to be interested in the subject.

you are what we atheist look at as an intelligent christian, one who accepts good science and is only a christian due to upbringing and possibly some emotional desires, i do not beleive in god/gods, ghosts, spirits, future prediction (not the good guess work but the actual i can see the future nonsense) you name it, i think that the entire supernatural realm was created in the minds of humans and passed around

It's not just you. Atheists and agnostics really do make up about half the people here. ...sort of makes you wonder how accurate the polls are.
