I don't necessarily mean evolve in the literally context of evolution but rather the metaphorically context that God grows, changes etc.

And further, if God comes from God-monkeys then why are there still God-monkeys?

God evolves because people evolve. He's come a long way from His origins as a totemic being that the savages would petition to assist them in the hunt.

Excellent question.

If god is incapable of learning more, since he is all knowing, then if one spends eternity in heaven, the amount of knowledge a normal heavenly person has will approach gods (assuming one can "learn something new" in heaven, something most Christians would agree with.)

So, over the course of eternity, people will eventually become statistically as all-knowing as God himself....that seems odd, no?

Definitely. You ever compared the old and new testament in the bible? The change in the concept of god is pretty clear. I think Mark Twain said, the god in the new testament is the one from the old after he got religion...

Yes---either that---or he keeps changing his mind constantly-eg--Jewish---stone the adulteress to death-Christian--forgive her--Islam--give her 200 lashes.
Although usually we dump Gods after we know more than them .Once we knew how thunder came about--the gig was up for poor old Thor!!

The concept of God is different for every person. It changes over time and place as well.
