Would you tediously analyze it so see if it meant anything special???
I'm the guy btw...and I really like this girl, but I'm one of those "intellectuals" and she is a friend. So I sent her this really good poem by Robert Frost just to ask what she thinks about it.
I'm just about 98% sure this girl likes me...
The poem was definitely NOT love poetry though. So I'm wondering...did I make a mistake by sending her poetry that had nothing to do with love??

what sucks is I dont want her to analyze it.
b/c it could be interpreted as meaning that she was too good to be true and that I dont like her anymore.
Of course this is a Frost poem, so "a pebble of quartz" would have to be a metaphor for her...and its really not what the poem was meant for...but if she really analyzed it thats what it could be =(

Yeah, girls analyze stuff like that, but if it is obviously not a love poem she'll probably just think you're sweet and "deep" for the poem.

um, well, if you plainly told her 'i just want to know what you think about this poem' and she knows you like poetry, then for goodness sake she should get that you just want her opinion (and if she doesn't, then is the girl that you, as an intellectual, are really looking for?) - i mean, she should be able to tell a love poem and a not love poem. if there is any doubt, simply tell her again, hey, i was just wondering what you thought about it. maybe she will be disappointed it's NOT a love poem, but maybe she will be happy you want to share that kind of intellectual conversation with her.
and on the 2nd hand, perhaps you should tell her how you feel, if you haven't, so that she doesn't think you could go on like this forever, just being friends talking about poems!

Um. well if you're pretty sure this girl likes you then she will most definitally analyze it. If it's not a love poem she'll probably still think your romantic and sensitive (in a good way) :)
So I'm pretty sure you did well :) and if all goes well between you two. ask her to be yours!

I answered your other question also and im a 100% sure that you should do something about this situation because she likes you. Poetry is great and yes... tha girl will analyze it

if the girl likes you then she is probably going to wonder what it mean't. If she thinks of u just as a friend then she may just think you sent it to her because you wanted her opinion on it.
