I don't believe in organized religion. I believe there is a higher being whom I like to call God because it makes me feel safe to think there is something more powerful looking over us. I feel that if you are a good person and treat others with the respect and kindness you would like to be treated with you will pass on to a pleasant afterlife, whatever and wherever that may be. I know there is no way to know if what I think is right, which is why I keep it so vague- but it makes me feel good and want to be a good person.
I don't see how anyone can say they know what happens after you die or speak the words of God when they have never died or spoke to God.
I don't understand all these judgmental religious people who think that they are sooo right about everything, how can they possibly be so omniscient? I'll tell ya, they're not. They say oh well, it's in the Bible. Who wrote the Bible though? Man. Just like the rest of us. They could say whatever they wanted and say it's the word of God. I believe that religion was created to help control people, which works to a point, but isn't necessary anymore. It's good that people have something to believe in as well, but I think a lot of people use the fact that they are religious and go to church every Sunday to 'cancel out' all the terrible things they do from day to day.
One thing I can't stand is that sex is looked down upon by some religions as being wrong. If it were wrong, then why is it used to procreate, and why does it feel so good! Those people who think everything that bring pleasure to you is a sin are just nuts! Why would God make it something we desire if it's wrong?
Not saying all religions are bad, but anytime I meet someone and they're whole life is focused on their religion and they promote it and/or push it on people, I stay away!

Not a religion, but a group of Philosophies. I believe in Taoism, (most aspects of) Libertarianism, Determinism, and Chaos Theory.
Taoism basically suggests that contrivance for unnecessary ends will lead to lowered feelings of self-worth, and negative repercussions. That we should all live in a manner which best befits us, and that we should appreciate the scope of causality. That we should strive not to create a ripple by our actions which resounds more negative than positive as it echoes throughout time. Sometimes the 'nice' or 'good' thing to do causes a greater stretch of negative reactions.
As a Libertarian, I believe that we should have all personal and economic rights possible, so long as they do not infringe on the rights of others. That government shouldn't interfere in our social lives, and that the economy should be less thoroughly regulated, and more Laissez-faire.
Determinism suggests that there is a predetermined path that the world will take due to the magnitude of energy, and the amount of matter involved in the big bang. That it has a guaranteed path, and that that original cause is responsible for everything that has happened since. That a slight difference would have changed history and the future drastically, and that free-will isn't an element which is involved.
Chaos Theory holds to the notion that while we live in a deterministic system, the element of quantum uncertainty by subatomic particles probably means that the future is not as static as the past is. The butterfly-effect is largely in play, and while it has less to do with free will, and more to do with the action of subatomic particles (which may, or may not influence thought and behavior, I would say, probably not) that the future can be two things at the same time, much like Schroedinger's Cat.

Every Religion will tell you its the right one. But thats where God has given us all a choice and its up to us which path you follow. We can do nothing but advice. I think that maybe you should have a look at all religions and see in which one you find the most truth. Which is most authentic, has all the answers you have. Does what your reading make sense? See im speaking as a muslim and Islam is there to confirm both Moses and Jesus's laws. I believe in the Torah, Palms and the Gospel, but these scriptures are no longer in the Original text or have been changed over the Years. Therefore Islam to me speaks of the turth, you will find teaching of Moses and Jesus in the Quran and Traditions.
I guess theres no harm in looking for yourself and see what you think, here are some websites to help you with your belief in God. They are not just for Muslims.

So there is the thank you to perceive the genuine faith. First, that's regarded by making use of its teachings. the genuine faith does not instruct the “Trinity” doctrine; it does not say that guy has an immortal soul; nor does it instruct that people will go through eternal torment in a hellfire after dying. fairly, it teaches that the daddy, Jehovah God, is larger than the Son; it says that the lifeless are subconscious, and it explains that they are resting of their graves until eventually the resurrection. fairly, does not the Scriptural fact on purely those concerns help very much to perceive the genuine faith? How efficient, too, is the examination of fruitage! we've seen that the genuine faith bears the fruitage of affection, and that people who prepare it refuse to slaughter fellow believers for the duration of wartime, regardless of their race or nationality. they save thoroughly unfastened from worldly politics. they often communicate approximately God, and in many circumstances use his call Jehovah. they are outstandingly pronounced for undertaking Bible analyze freed from cost in the properties of fascinated persons. And the ministers of the genuine faith call regularly from abode to abode preaching approximately God’s kingdom. Are you acquainted with the religion that fits this description? Is it your faith? despite if that's no longer, then it relatively is fairly important which you seek to locate the genuine faith. this could require some own learn on your area. besides the incontrovertible fact that that's no longer confusing. God has provided his word, the Bible, which outlines what's genuine faith. learn the Bible. coach what's fake and reject it. coach what's genuine and carry it quickly. After studying what God’s will is, do it. The apostle John revealed how important it relatively is so you might try this, writing: “the international is passing away and so is its want, yet he that does the will of God continues to be forever.”—a million John 2:17.

There are as many ways to to the divine as their are people. All are valid for that person and is the right one for them. No one is going to work for all people because there is always going to be somebody different. For example Christians and Muslims both strongly claim theirs is the only true way yet if that is so then one is wrong. This is a proof to me that there may be more than one; however all at there heart try to reach out to the divine and relate it in human terms and so have a comman ground.

I completely agree with you. When I was growing up, my family switched from Lutheran to Seventh-day Adventist. (My g-ma switched, so we all did.) Even though I loved the SDA people, I always knew, even as a kid, that there was one God, therefore only one true gospel. If God is anything, He is constant. I joined the LDS church after questioning and then meeting with the girl missionaries. I knew that this is where I belonged as soon as I prayed about it. All of it. I feel like I am finally home and living the life Heavenly Father wants me to.
So, yes, absolutely, one God equals one faith (gospel).

Wiccan, and I don't believe that it is the only one that is right. It's right for me, but that may not be the case for you. Wicca is right for me because it emphasizes what I've always felt to be true in my heart; that you don't need a temple or a middleman to talk to the divine and be heard, that magick is not evil or blasphemous, but a natural part of life, and that that eternal life is a given, not a reward for living right.

Christianity is the only one that deals with sin and has an answer to it! It's the only one that has facts and proof and the only true logical answer to who God is and what his purpose is for us... The Bible is consider the River of Life and If you open it and really study it you will become a believer... Time and time again there are countless stories of Atheist and non-believers that go to Israel and have a mission to disprove it! Not one of them could, and 99% are now believers...

I'm Christian, because after having a near death experience it became clear to me that my holy father does exist and i could feel his presence in my hospital room for the months i was in the hospital, i realized there is a higher power, and i know my belief is right for me because it gives me sense of peace and comfort and also happiness, and even though i was baptized as a baby my faith was never that strong and was unable to have an understanding of the bible or priests and some of the extras that come with religion, but now that i am older i understand that to each is own, and my faith goes beyond the bible, church and priests, its about the heavenly father whom i know for sure exist even with out seeing him, because feeling him is enough!
