I no longer send Christmas cards, or any other cards, except via email. I consider all paper cards a blatant waste of money because most of them are generally tossed in the trash. It is more beneficial to send the money for the cards and accompanying stamps to charity.

I'm a Christian, and this letter does not represent Jesus at all, the fact is, they could well take Christ out of Christmas, and change it to xmas. that would be awesome, as Christ never was in Christmas to began with, neither is he accepting of it. It is foolish to try and teach people that Jesus is the reason for the season, they need to do a bit of praying, and a little history. over 200 million tons of alcohol will be consumed on this holiday, there will be more suicides than any other time of the year, alot of church goers will max out credit cards they cant pay back. and the blunt of it all, WHAT GIFT DOES GOD GET? the blame for all this corruption. I am a strong believer in God Almighty, and he is a God of Love, but not corruption, lies, and gluttony. As for getting alone. I can share opinions and beliefs with atheist, and have a true heart to see them saved, but can never accept their theories.

Because Jesus doesn't have an address. I know its pretty silly but I would wayy rather get Christmas cards with money in it than send a Birthday card to nowhere. That would be a waste of money.

Because Christmas is a scared holiday and the cards are to send people holiday wishes. Yes Christmas is Jesus's birthday (well not technically, but thats a whole diffrent story) and we celebrate it in memory and love for HIM, the cards are just a way to send love and wishes

Obviously, you don't believe in Christmas since you asked a silly questions like this. That's like saying, "I'm sending a St. Patty's Day card to a leprechaun instead of to my loved one".
Not that you really NEED an explaination but I'll give you one anyway - The reason we send Christmas cards to each other is because we want to wish our friends/family a Happy Christmas.

not sure
the cards started as a Victorian era thing. Lots of pictures of dead robins. They liked that sort of thing.
Anyway Christmas like Easter is not originally a christian festival. They were hijacked by the Church of the past, to draw believers from older popular religions
Anyway the cards now are a huge commercial money making thing - does anything make sense

Christmas is about giving....so give cards to show people that we care, although its something you can do all through the year. A card is just a token of love, and warmth. We dont send them to Jesus because HE wants our praise and worship not card. We praise Him with the fruit of our lips not with someone elses words on a card.

Jesus isn't accepting mail right now, in fact the last time I called his secretary said his people would call my people and we'd do lunch. That was 15 years ago. Also Ahura Mazda, Buddha, and not one of the stinking 96,000 gods of Hinduism has answered so much as a freaking email. You believe that? oh yeah, happy early winter solstice

Because, now listen to me, Jesus isn't alive anymore!!!!!!
The holiday s to celabrate Jesus, so they pass around the letters to keep the spirit of christmas alive.
What I don't get is that Jesus wanted people to get rid of there belonging, and not to be so materialistic, but on this holiday people buy eash other MORE stuff, it's a little hypocratic.
