I am a believer that all people are descendants of Africans however, I do not celebrate Kwanzaa. For that matter, I do not celebrate Xmas - too commercialized. I celebrate time with my family and that is my extend of participation. I have a few books on Kwanzaa but have yet to begin my studies....

I wish someone would TELL ME! Kwanzaa is relatively new in the U.S. and i don't know any traditions or deeper meanings associated with the Kwanzaa season.

I don't know what you're supposed to do to celebrate Kwanzaa, other than maybe say "Happy Kwanzaa" to people.

I thought Kwanzaa was an American invention, even though they use a Swahili word for it.

Anyway, I'm not the same religion as my own parents, let alone the first humans.

I'll have to learn more about it first before I decide if I want to celebrate it or not. I would like to know what I'm celebrating before I celebrate.

no such thing as "kwanzaa"...just a made up excuse to keep the decendents of african slaves under the thumb of those who use race as a means of maintaining their own positions of power... kick off the chains of the black racists... and become truely free...
