lost implies i'm going in a direction which will not take me to my desired destination. yet, if i know i'm going somewhere and i want to go there, i'm no longer lost. so why do i keep getting told by christians that i'm lost. if i'm lost and i want to go to hell wouldn't that mean i'm going to heaven, since they're my only two choices for the afterlife?

wordoffaith, i had a relative who fell asleep in a burning building. he was rescued in time before the fire killed him but he was still horribly burned. however, he did say that after a minute the he didn't feel the fire anymore. his body went numb. go figure... doesn't numb mean i won't feel any pain? and all i gotta do is just wait a minute in the flames. that's cool!!!

It is clear that You believe in neither heaven nor hell, but i appreciate that You refrain from name calling and ridicule like that used by bongernet -- as if we haven't all read that a score or more times, bonger! It would be different if Your opinion had anything at all to do with the question!
You are "lost" to GOD when You choose the downward path. How many hideous crimes do You intend to commit to "earn" a place in hell?

Honestly, if you want to go, give yourself a brief preview of what it will be like. Light your fireplace up, wait for the fires to be full, then stick your entire arm in there. Hold it for 5 minutes. When your entire arm is burnt to a crisp, remember that the time frame it took to bring your arm to 'crispy' was a measly 5 minutes. Then ask yourself, are you willing to put yourself through the same agony for an ETERNITY?

The situation of the lifeless is made transparent at Ecclesiastes nine:five, 10, in which we learn: “The lifeless recognize not anything . . . In the grave, in which you're going, there may be neither running nor making plans nor skills nor knowledge.” Scripturally, dying is a state of nonexistence. The lifeless haven't any concentration, no emotions, no ideas. Since the lifeless haven't any mindful lifestyles, hell are not able to be a fiery location of torment in which the depraved endure after dying. What, then, is hell? Examining what occurred to Jesus after he died is helping to reply that question. The Bible author Luke recounts: “Neither was once [Jesus] forsaken in Hades [hell, King James Version] nor did his flesh see corruption.”* (Acts two:31) Where was once the hell to which even Jesus went? The apostle Paul wrote: “I passed directly to you . . . that Christ died for our sins in line with the Scriptures; and that he was once buried, sure, that he has been raised up the 3rd day in line with the Scriptures.” (one million Corinthians 15:three, four) So Jesus was once in hell, the grave, however he was once now not deserted there, for he was once raised up, or resurrected. Consider additionally the case of the righteous guy Job, who suffered a lot. Wishing to flee his plight, he pleaded: “Who will provide me this, that thou mayest look after me in hell [Sheol], and conceal me until thy wrath go?”* (Job 14:thirteen, Douay Version) How unreasonable to believe that Job favored to visit a fiery-sizzling location for defense! To Job, “hell” was once without difficulty the grave, in which his agony could finish. The Bible hell, then, is the normal grave of mankind in which well humans as good as unhealthy ones move.

i dont kow what those 'christians' are telling you... but your probably going to make it to hell.. hell i just the common grave... its the dirt your burried in when you die. than you take a long rest. or sleep just like jesus talks about it in the bible here in john 11:11 He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Laz´a·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.” the bible says that the dead are conscious of nothing.. so you will not be in some... pit of fire being burned to death forever. Ecclesiastes 9:5, For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. i'm sorry if thats not quite the 'hope' that you are looking for... but god is loving and he would never let you burn forever in a firey pit.. the wage of sin is death... if you are resurected and still chose to sin, than you will die and never wake up... no further punishment than that... just gone forever.

You want to go to a place you don't believe exist? Very logical.
Besides, anyone who says they want to go to hell and they are still living is lying. If you want to go to hell, and that is your true desire, I'm sure you could solve that problem quickly.
But we all know that you are just trying to look clever. I would think your brain would filter out these "clever" ideas of yours...at least prohibit you from putting them in writing.

You are lost because you don't know really what is the meaning of "HELL"?
Let me tell you what is the hell
1- "........ but those who deny (their Lord), for them will be cut out a garment of Fire: over their heads will be poured out boiling water. With it will be scalded what is within their bodies, as well as (their) skins. In addition there will be maces of iron (to punish) them. Every time they wish to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be forced back therein, and (it will be said), "Taste ye the Penalty of Burning!" "(Translation of Quran 22:19to22)
2- ".....We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the wall and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces: How dreadful the drink! how uncomfortable a couch to recline on!"(Translation of Quran 18:29)
3-"Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad.
The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" (54:47&48)
4-"......a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded"(66:6)
5-"And thou wilt see the Sinners that day bound together in fetters. Their garments of liquid pitch, and their faces covered with Fire;"(14:49&50)
6-"When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along; In the Boiling fetid fluid; then in the Fire shall they be burned;"(40:71&72)
7-"Verily the tree of Zaqqum Will be the food of the Sinful, Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides, Like the boiling of scalding water. (A voice will cry:) "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire! Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water" (44:43to48)
8-" In front of such a one is Hell, and he is given for drink, boiling fetid water. In gulps will he sip it, but never will he be near swallowing it down his throat: death will come to him from every quarter, yet will he not die: and in front of him will be a chastisement unrelenting. "(14:16&17)

OMG this is so funny...it's almost profound. Based on your theory, one could conclude that you are not lost except in the minds of others. Therefore, you do not need to be found and are well on your way to wherever you wish to go.
