does having your nose cauterized hurt?

My doctor decided to do it on me and im getting it done in 2 weeks. does it hurt? what do they even use? I'm really scared ..

Yes..I would do that..it burns

Yes. My brother had it done because of very frequent nosebleeds. He was suppose to have the other side done but it hurt so bad he never went back. He also said it smelled horrible....since they are essentially burning the inside of your nose.

it involves burning, so I'd think it was somewhat painful. he'll probably use something to deaden the pain and give you a prescription for pain.
