You ask a very good question. Temptations come from 3 basic sources as demonstrated in the 3 temptations Jesus recieved while fasting. They are from the world, the flesh and the devil. When answering the question it is best to understand this. Yes, the devil would like to effect the senses and make sin pleasurable. That is one thing. Sin can only be attractive in some form when it is pleasurable. And when we sin, we become somehow a slave to the sin and it becomes easier the next time around since it becomes closer to habit. This means psychologically it is more likely to be pleasurable to commit again.
Human nature innately responds to the Good as God has made us that way, thus our action must include good. So we must find the good in the sin in order to do it otherwise our conscience and nature would not allow it. Sin is also against nature in this respect. So in this sense, sin is death.
The flesh is one appeal as in lust and gluttony. You can be attracted to it by the good of food and sex, but if you pursue these goods beyond what is truely good and without moderation you are committing sin. But we know it is pleasureable to eat and have sex. That is true because it gives the body life. This is the type of struggle that St. Paul talks about. You see, it is much better to watch the flesh since without spiritual eyes you may be inviting death to the soul despite the good you are seeking.
I have not talked about the world, but the appeal that others make to a soul to commit sin is always done with an appeal to a good thing. It would not be persuasive otherwise.
I hope this helps. Email me if you would like to have more thoughts on these things.

I'm with Tricia and Grandfather and Sparkles and them: nothing pleasurable about doing evil to me. I know St. Augustine was something of a rogue when he was young, but the whole point of his writings was how empty and "un-fun" all that turned out to be. He wrote "Only in God will my soul be at rest." Do you really think evil is pleasurable at all? Or isn't that the illusion of it?

Morality is a human created inspiration. So sin does not exist. To turn out this take a seem at how sins exist in distinct cultures. In Hinduism and Buddhism consuming cow is a sin however in Christianity it is OK. Likewise distinct cultures has distinct units of sins. Also Take a seem at tribes, they participate in quite a lot of rituals and sacrifices however the ones will disgust civilized society despite the fact that they got here from tribes. So despite the fact that there's no sin you need to now not harm others considering that you understand how it is like while you get harm.

Since when is it pleasurable to ruin someone elses life? If you're angry and you throw something and break it, I will admit that it relieves stress, but that doesn't mean that it's pleasurable. It's releasing your anger on an object when you should learn how to control it. It is not pleasurable to do evil, and if you find that it is, you should seek help.

i disagree. satan does have the ability to influence us through temptation. the pleasure feeling you might get from getting away with doing something wrong or wronging someone and getting away with it is what satan gives us as a reward and with rewards, comes the encouragement to continue doing bad things. i find in all things it is harder ( usually ) to always do the right thing because there is not always "excitement" in it. our reward for doing good is entering the gates of heaven.

Possible cause - immediate gratification lacks thought for consequence or compassion. You get what you want, when you want it, at the cost of something else. Long term it can, and usually will backlash.

Bad behavior often has quick pleasurable results. While good behavior doesn't always yield pleasurable results right away. That is why it takes more character to be good than bad.
