Yes, people can be allergic to milk and other dairy products.
The problem with the answers to this question you have received is precept ion. There are two main aliments that milk produces in people one is milk allergy and the other is lactose intolerance. The two are NOT the same.
Milk allergy develop es when the immune system sees the protein in the milk as harmful and attacks it as such releasing histamine. This can cause symptoms of hives, swelling, diarrhea, stomach upset, high blood pressure, difficulty breathing, and DEATH-if symptoms are severe enough (this is generally called anaphlaxis.) This condition generally requires that the sufferer not eat/drink any food product containing milk or milk products. There is no medication to help prevent the symptoms.
Lactose intolerance on the other hand is rarely fatal and is caused by the sugar (lactose) in the milk. This condition is present when your intestines go not produce enough of the enzyme to break the lactose down. When this occurs people have symptoms of stomach upset/craps, diarrhea and bloating. These symptoms are limited and generally pass in a few minutes or hours. Generally this is not fatal. Sufferers can take pills (Lactaid-is the most common brand) to help relieve there discomfort and symptoms.

It is often the case that allergies and intolerances get confused.
Milk can give allergies but for more people, it is a case of milk intolerance. A milk intolerance primarily results in stomach symptoms like cramps, diarrhea and stomach pains. It is usually not fatal and will pass in a couple of hours.
A milk allergy, on the other hand, can be fatal. Symptoms can be hives, shortness of breath, asthma, etc.

Sure, our body can develop almost any kind of allergies. I am lacto intolerant and it was a real nightmare for me until the milk with no lactose came in the market. Now I´m 32 years old and still eat cereal 3 times a day just to catch up.

For most people who are sensitive: yes. Because of the way the milk is processed, all the good bacteria are killed off including the one that helps you to digest it. Milk actually has no nutritious value and more and more people are getting allergic to it. So,don't believe all the hype you hear about milk being better than ever, it's not.

Milk products or any other product does not give us allergies. Many of us are allergic to them or "lactose intolerant".

no, but some people are allergic to milk. When you have a cold or something, you're not supposed to drink it, though, because it coats your stomach and your throat and makes you more flemmy. That's probably why people think it gives you allergies because it messes with your sinuses when you're sick.

Tell me any other species besides human that drinks milk as an adult. (none.)
Tell me any other species that drink ANOTHER species' millk as a baby or adult.(none, unless it is survival.)
Cows' Milk is NOT good for human beings. And certainly not adults.
There are far better ways to get calcium and protein. Beans, Green Veggies.
