bill p, if you're sharp enough, you can almost teach all of the NT from the OT.

The OT is our schoolmaster, foreshadowing things to come.

Yes, God loves his children; however His patients is wearing thin. IMHO, the 5th seal has been opened. How many Christians even know what that means?

One person’s nailed it. Thank God for the Millennium ... a thousand yrs. with satan out of the picture ... when everyone will know that God exists.

Those, however, who still wish to follow satan at the end of that time, will go into the lake of fire (second death ... death of the soul) with him.

I remember a passage that says " my children are dying because of a lack of knowledge" But I think this is a deeper precept that the passage is teaching. I think it is their refusal to learn the knowledge that causes them to perish. The reason I think this is because i firmly believe that God will not send anyone to hell because of ignorance. We will all be schooled well enough to make an informed decision . And then will have to decide. Beside isn't that what the Lord's day is all about. Doesn't it say that Christ will come with a rod of iron? And what will He be doing with the rod of iron? He will be teaching discipline. Discipline in what? In his word . And then satan will be let loose for a short season to see who has done their homework.

Yes, all you have to do is to look at Isaiah 5:13 and Hosea 4:6. Even in the New Testament lack of knowledge can cause one's own destruction, 2 Peter 3:15-17.

No! That's the fantastic thing! Every single human (whether here on earth, or in the Spirit World) will have the opportunity to hear God's word. What they choose to do with that information will determine if they perish. Sometime check out the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They have some interesting things to say about this very thing.

If they do then its not a benevolent God because he should forgive ignorance -which is after all one form of innocence.

Gods got some answering to do -like why doesnt he feed all the starving people, instead of flooding, burning and bombing them, etc.

Probably not. Remember that God's children's main problem is that we allow Religion to speak for God and they can't seem to agree on very much. Let's just worship God in a way that you are comfortable with and let's get rid of Religion.

God's children will not perish...but the rest will. This is what is so disturbing today with over 50% of children born out of wedlock in the U.S. These children are doomed!!!

And...gotta love ignorant people quoting the OLD Testament, written before Christ walked the earth. A little knowledge is dangerous!

There is no excuse for being stupid. It is not for us to judge. But if someone told you that you could have a million dollars just for reading the Bible would you? If your answer is yes then how much more is Jesus offering us to learn and to live by his ways?

Nope
God wills the salvation of all men, and Christianity is not a religion of the book, but rather a religion of the word, and the word became flesh.

YES

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Many more will perish because they follow the mis-interpretaion of gods "words" rather than a lack of knowledge of them
