So someone threw 2 potatos on my friends window and shot it up with a bb gun and then the window broke. Will the police be able to get fingerprints?

Uuuum NO. To obtain fingerprints you need a smooth flat (though flat isn't always needed) surface and a size large enough to actually have a print on it.

A potatoe is not smooth nor flat and bb's are far too small to be able to get any form of a fingerprint from.

Sorry.

I doubt they would be able to get any useable prints from either BBs or potatoes. The BBs are too small to get anything from. The potatoes do not have a good surface for leaving a fingerprint. It might be possible but the cost of getting the print would be prohibitive.

nah they wont do this It cost to much for the police to run at the state police labs. They will take a report and all but fingerprinting only occurs when a murder suicide robbery etc.. happens the most serious crimes.

they wont get no fingerprints unless they robbed the place and sometimes the cops dont even take finger prints then

No but all you have to do is install a CCTV system they cost less than £60 ($110) and then smack the crap out of whoever you find doing it.

potatoes hold finger prints well...ha ha
but it sounds like a prank and it is not likely the pranksters finger prints are on file.
