Both men were very quick. I think Dokes threw quicker combos than Page but that Page had the faster jab.

Greg Page was a golden boy for awhile, but seemed to loose his way early. I would say that Michael Dokes was the slower of the two.

I go for Page, he had all the ability but not the mentality to be a good champion, Dokes certainly hit harder....... at the end of he day they each should have achieved more than they did but hey they were champions of the world......so what do I know!!

without question dokes was the better all round fighter with the quicker hands, page had better punching power and defense.

even. why did don king deny the true fans of boxing this fight in the 80's. this would have been a grudge match cause they did not like one another. the public would have demanded the winner get a shot at larry holmes and he would have had to fight to keep his name.

Mike was like greased lightning. He looked overweight but wasn't. He didn't live up to his potential, but by God, was he quick----Mike by a mile.
