depending on the company - some places dont even call your references ...
If this company does they would ask your references different questions depending on the type of reference ... if it is an old co-worker - they may ask them how your work ethics are or how well you work with others ... if your reference is a friend - they may ask them how long you have been friends and what type of personality you have and what type of person you are ...
so it really does depend on what type of references you put - and there relationship to you - but basically the manager just asks very general questions ... i wouldnt worry - just make sure all your references know in advance that they should be expecting a call ... and make sure you prep them on what to say and what not to say!

Privacy and other laws have really limited what can be asked and even more so what answers people will give. They will generally ask if they think you will be a good match for the position, if you are reliable and if you left your previous position voluntarily (inapplicable here). They may also ask if they have additional info they think would be valuable.
In reality, references are often not even checked and when they are generally will only impact you if they are really bad. This early in your career just pick people who know you well and think well of you and you will be fine.

Usually, they confirm that what you put on your application/resume is true. That's what I always asked. For example: "The applicant claims to be 15 and is very punctual for volunteering at your animal shelter. Is that true?" "The applicant claims to be a straight A student in history - teacher, is that correct?"
Depending on the job, they may ask about your skills, how you interact with others, attendance and punctuality. Some ask NO questions; they base their hiring on the interview alone. Good luck; welcome to the working world!

They will ask very generalized questions, mostly to verify that the information on your application is factual. Employers cannot ask many questions about your personal life, because labor laws protect you from that.
Just make sure your references know you well enough to vouch for your application being accurate.

At 15 years old, they're not going to have much to ask about. They'll probably be along the lines of is she good with people, etc.. but realisticly they most likely won't even call. Your best bet is to make sure that you give names of people who want to help. That's all you can really do.

In my state, a perspective employer may ask any question they want. But your previous employers are only allowed to answer certain questions. Here they are.
Length of employment and dates.
Position and duties.
Rate of pay.
Would you rehire?
The answer to the last question must be a simple yes, or no. They are not supposed to elaborate.

There is a very limited number of things a new employer can ask.
When were you hired,? when did you leave? and are you eligible for rehire. The worst I could say about you is that I would not rehire you . Anything past that they are in violation of federal laws.

and if yes, the second is "Would You Want To Work With Them?"
those are the most important things in my opinion.
