How do people whom need help find out about organizations that will help them?

You can find out alot by just checking with your local mayors office or urban government office, they will be able to guide you to active organizations in your area most of the time

in our town
most people who need help go to cccchurches
or Goodwill
Salvation Army
or the Soup Kitchen
Start with the churches

They call the United Way and they call local churches, and the County (food stamps)
