When my son was 3 years old I had to take him with me to a Baptist women's council and he mooned the entire room full of them. They just sat there like they had turned to stone.

We were at a kids play, but my three year old couldn't sit and watch so he was running around in the lobby, going up and down the stairs, etc. We were upstairs and he found a rock on the ground and threw it off th balcony and really startled a lady. Well, of course I was mortified and apologized profusely to her. When we went downstairs so he could say sorry himself turned out we knew her. But check this out(the embarrassing part is over, here comes the happy ending)- when she looked around to see what fell, she found an angel ornament on the ground! So I showed her what my son had on his chest, a temporary tattoo of an angel! We were totally feeling the spirit!

You mean aside from the times when they had very loud, public tantrums of the meltdown variety?

Tough call with two kids and five grandkids, but it would have to be the time one of them (identifying details deliberately kept vague) who, having just mastered the art of potty protocol and left diapers behind forever, felt an unmistakable urge while shopping with me in a large hardware store. We had just walked past a display of, er, fixtures. Well, since "big kids" do things for themselves, this resourceful one didn't bother mentioning the need (why, when the obvious solution was near at hand?) ... but slipped back to that display while I was preoccupied. I backtracked just in time to see the child settle upon the seat, sans pants, oblivious to the stares and chuckles of passing adults. Luckily, the real W.C. was nearby ... we went there, very quickly.

Edit: James (below) has my vote for "best". LOL!!

When one of my boys was around 5,we were playing basketball in the driveway with my other 3 kids. Devan was on my "team." We were having a great time and we were winning and then I made a "Slam dunk"...my son was sooo excited that we won that he decided this was a good time to pull my shorts down! I was never so mortified in my entire life. But it's a darn good story, isn't it? LOL! My other kids,4 years later, never forgot it.

My youngest son stood up on the pew and started singing
"The Theme song to Cops" during Communion...and I could not reach him....as I was kneeling at the other end of the pew ...and since we sit in the front pew...everyone saw and heard him! After Mass Father made a comment to me about my son's song selection....One of the few times in my life I truly blushed.
Peace be with you.

Here's one: My sons and I were shopping at the grocery store when one of them suddenly passed gas. My husband likes to blame me whenever he farts, so my children have picked up the same habit.

Before I could cup my hand over his mouth, my younger son shouted, for all to hear, "EEEWWW MOM! You cracked a STINKY!" I almost died.

Edit: Yes, my husband did get in trouble! But does he stop saying it??? Oooh no he doesn't! That's what I get for being the only female in the family. LOL!
