It's willful ignorance reinforced by the carrot of Heaven and the stick of Hell.

According to the Catachism of the Catholic Church and every priest I speak with on this issue have said the same thing. It is okay to believe in Evolution as a Catholic because of the strong biological evidence, but you have to believe that God is the one who created the life (bacteria) that eventually evolved. God created the evolutionary chain of events.

Whether people believe that God did this or not is a debate between religion and science.

It's not out of fear no one accepts evolution, it's just a personal belief they have, and therefore ignore the scientific evidence. Just like with anything else, it's a belief they have, and they are not open-minded enough to change their view no matter how much evidence is presented.

Evolution can't produce something new aside from rearranging the alleles already contemporary in the organism. Genes for specific valuable properties are the two grew to become on or off reckoning on the atmosphere of the organism. the occasion of canine etc (foxes, hyenas, dingos, wolves) which you have given may be diverse species yet they are all genetically correct and can interbreed. The so-talked approximately as vestigial organs no longer vestigial. There was many greater organs defined as vestigial in earlier textbooks. Now people understand their applications and for this reason that selection has long gone down significantly.

No, it is the scientific evidence that lead me to reject evolution. The easiest evidence to understand quickly comes from beyond biology, it comes from physics and astronomy. Our earth and solar system are not just in the safest place in our galaxy for life, thery are in the best for observation. A few years back, Scientific American had an article in June or July on how if the laws of physics were even slightly different, we could not exist, but nobody knows why they are what they are. There is a wealth of evidence against evolution but that is all I have time for now.

FYI - I don't believe in ever-burning Hell. That is more Dante than the Bible.

I believe it is a mixture of both. Some have the superstition of knowing more as a devilish act and this will lead them to hell. So they ignore or don't acquire a new knowledge to keep their peacefulness of mind.

I was brought up not to question beliefs, just to accept them as they are.
I had many questions but never uttered them, until recently.

I've studied evolution, and there is no doubt now, it is a fact!

I would say either, but it's usually a little bit of both.
I really don't see how some people still doubt or disbelieve evolution in this day and age. It's almost unbelievable, but unfortunately it happens all too often.

Hell has nothing to do with evolution since they are two different things

well i have yet to have seen any actual physical peice of evidence of evolution, or any facts for that matter that we evolved from apes or evolved period for that matter. but i have seen opinions on it, i've seen the skulls and bones of ancient extinct creatures, but no facts or evidence that they were actually the remainings of homo sapiens.

I am a christian and I believe in evolution to a point. I believe that God made all living things including man. But I do believe in new species evolving and reproducing. I don't however believe I evolved from an Ape.
