God is Love is "truer". It is a statement about who He is.
God kills makes it sound like He is the one doing the killing, when most of the time He allows things to happen, but does not directly strike someone down, or direct someone to kill another person. Yes, He has on occasion done this, but since He knows the end from the beginning He can see things that we can't and knows the reason why He has directed these things to happen. God kills is not an accurate assessment of His character, He is not someone who has this road rage and so everytime someone does something He doesn't like **ZAP** they're history. He is a loving God. He does things, or causes things to happen that is meant to reprove and correct His children, but just as any parent corrects a child, it's done out of love.

So my answer is God is Love is a more true statement than God kills.

God is love

Let me ask you this -- who/what does not kill? I ate oatmeal this morning which was living 6 months ago. I had a sloppy Joe last night make with ground turkey -- it was also living 2 months ago.

Also, who do you know that will live forever? God could stop it all because He is all powerful -- but He doesn't -- maybe He knows there is more to us than just our short life on Earth.

I mean the dead come home to Him where they can receive a reward for living a good life. I imagine that death means something else to an eternal being that knows everything.

Anyway I think I have given you enough of my thoughts to mock

Have a nice day

D

I would say God is love. Ezekiel 33:11
"(God) has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from their ways.."
Its pretty obvious to those who actually read the Bible, as opposed to those who simply argue about it without any clear understanding of it. It is like saying, our laws are biased against a segment of society, as minorities traditionally are the ones prosecuted. Nevermind the fact that it has little to do with ethinicity but rather socio-economic status. When you look at prosecution rates at this level, you gain a fuller understanding of the full picture. The same is true here. While God may be allowing for the deaths of thousands of people, if we look at it simply as them being people and not as their actions are in rebellion to God, than we arrive at a picture of a malicious God. The real point of observance is to listen to the perspective an individual is giving, as this will give you a glimpse of their heart.

Neither, God is that which is. Love and killing are both part of the natural order, and therefor serve a purpose in that order. In the exercise of his free will a human may commit acts contrary to the best interest of the survival of individuals, societies, or whole species, but that is responsibility of the individual(s) involved. The Universe was given to us perfect to do with as we will, if we mess it up that is solely on us. Blaming our failings on God or the Devil, or anything else, is simply a cowardly way to try to escape taking responsibility for the consequences of our own actions.

God loves everyone and sent his son to die for our sins. I don't actually understand the God kills part. Some people ask what God has done for me lately well he gives you the breath of life.

First, you answer THIS question: Which is truer, you close the curtains before you abuse your children, or you leave them open for all to watch?

Helllloooooo. What kind of nonsense IS this? Are you expecting people to pat you on the back and tell you what a good job you did at mocking God or something?

Jesus said "I came that you may have abundant Life." and "He who has the Son (of God) has Life. He who does NOT have the Son is still dead.

God cried out in His Word, "I set before you Life and death. Please choose Life, that you may live!" (Jesus said "I am Life!")

And, does the doctor kill you if you refuse to take the presciption that would otherwise save your life?

Now the ball is in your court. Will you choose Jesus and live, or will you reject God and die? God won't kill you - you kill yourself by rejecting Life!

Easy. God allows people to have their choice, they can become captives to invaders, their sin, slaves to Satan, or even perish. It is their choice. They're stiff-necked, in other words, prideful. Rebellion to God leads to captivity. The Good News is, Freedom is in Salvation through Christ's attonement.
