The Osteopaths weren't a problem for the Christians because they were covered under a comprehensive group insurance plan. The Romans had Kaiser HMO so they were screwed.

Roman pagans hid in the churches and received refuge, which is where the orig. church pratice of Sanctuary to All comes from.......the fact that pagan romans hid from Visigoths in the church, and the fact that the visigoths did not loot the churches. A real interesting read in ancient history.
