Since the beginning of mankind, we have (depending on where) slaughtered and killed, worshipped and sacrificed for something we had and have no true proof or idea about. We only believe out of fear, that if we don't believe in anything something bad will happen to us after death. Why can't more of us not believe in religion at all, to save lives and spirits. What is a "sin" in one religion is praised in another. Doesn't that alone prove religion is just a hoax? If there were one single religion in the world, maybe, maybe I would believe in it, but there is not. Why can't this nonense end? We need to stop believing in arcs and burning bushes. If someone you know now, came in your house and told you they spoke with a burning bush, you would have them commited. Back then, with less understanding and intelligence, it was acceptable. If there is a God, wouldn't it rather have you question it your entire life instead of lying to yourself and others based on a belief you truly dont know about

i totally agree with you thats why im an atheist i was a christian until recently i made the decision when i was 16 to get baptised but the more i read into the bible the more u question it i dont understand how i person can live by & believe whats in there. the bible was written by men who claimed to have been inspired by god then it was interperted & many books were even left out. i wish everyone would think like that

arcs? Like electricity arcing? What? Ark of the Covenant?

Ok I am past that..now ... life isnt supposed to be about religion. It is supposed to be about how one obeys God. If all we did was to obey various religions..tree hugging ..hand chopping off of.. etc... not much would get done.

True religion ..as described by someone.. not sure who.. in James 1:27 of scriptures is to visit with widows and orphans during the time of their affliction.. and to keep oneself undefiled by the world. Fairly broad but also very specific at the same time. Keeps anyone who follows that pretty much safe from sin as described by God. Works for me, anyway.

That is a very interesting approach, to which I won't say that I disagree, that with out much thought, analysis and testing you should have no reason to believe in G-d.

I would like to deal with all the issues but it would take too long to write in one shot, however there is one issue in particular that with which I would like to address. The concept that just because there are different opinions in religion doesn't mean that the concept in false persay. One example of this concept can be seen with regards to psychology. There are a number of differing approaches to understanding the human desires and ultimate motivations, which many times disagree with each other, yet no one will say that the entire field of psychology is wrong. They will merely say that one approach isn't correct, and then begin treating people with the approach that they consider correct.

Please feel free to email me if you want to argue on my hypothesis. I am a very religious thinker and would like to understand other approaches to knowledge.

The God of Moses is Satan, the serpent. Do not believe the Words Moses or his god spoke. The devil mixes lies with truth to deceive you.

Believe only in the Words of the Father who art in heaven as delivered by the Holy Spirit and spoken by His Son Jesus, this is the true bread (words) from God the Father.

Religion cannot take blame for this. Many people use religion as an excuse.

Religion brings people together. But it is most humans ignorance, that try to destroy.

Not all believe out of fear, the only 'thing' I fear is ALLAH (GOD)

So your statement is not only false, but you are assuming everyone has the same thought as you.

In reality they do not... :)

That is a false statement. Most wars that come to mind had nothing to do with religion:
WWI, WWII, Korea, Civil War, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Spanish American War, Russian Revolution....

Take that tripe somewhere else

Religion hasn't destroyed everything, yet! It's doing its best though.

The only way is to destroy current religion, which will of course happen as has happened to all previous religions. However, I can't see it happening in our lifetime, unfortunately.

IMHO We shouldn't blame religion for the killings or destruction. Man would have found an excuse to do that anyways.

Because it doesn't destroy everything. Like any -cracy, the people at the top do rather well out of it.

just as no pathogen with 100% fatality can be viable for long, religion wouldn't have lasted if all it did was "destroy everything"
