It's bad enough people keep saying that they won't have all the things here on Earth and continue to enjoy doing them, but that they will just be in a big room with God, keep staying on knees and worshipping and serving Him for ever and ever like some horrifying Mass that's nonstop. Going to church is boring. Mass is boring. It's when you leave Mass that you are excited about finally going somewhere and doing some activity. Only problem is, you can't never get up and go do your own thing there but have to just stay there like a viking has to stay in his seat on the ship and keep moving that oar. If Heaven can't be as free as the world is right now and I can't AT LEAST enjoy what I can do right now, then Heaven will suck in my opinion.

Do you go to mass out of fear??? Goodness - if you think it's boring and you can't wait for it to be over - I can't imagine why you would subject yourself to such a thing. Unless- of course - you are scared NOT to go.

I'm not sure if there is a heaven or not. I do know that God is LOVE and things work best when we let that love work through us. For some people - that means going to mass once - or even twice a week. For others it means helping those less fortunate and meditating. And for others - it means singing joyfully and being kind to the elderly. God works through us in many ways.

Heaven - may not be. But - there is lots of beautfiul stuff to be appreciated here on earth. Don't spend your beloved time in mass - if you could be spreading love in some other way.

Namaste!

We have no idea what Heaven is really like, but I'm sure that an infinite God who is also a creator would NOT just sit still for all eternity after one little planet's worth. No, I'm sure Heaven is more creative, dynamic and wonderful than the best and most creative work ever done on earth.

Heaven is perfection; sitting in church forever is NOT.
So don't worry. Whatever Heaven really is, God is there, Christ is there, and it will be better than excellent.

I know I’m not answering your question directly but you can use inductive learning toward the answer, if you try. Unbeliever says: Hey Christians stop being so sure about your heaven. O but I will do the thing that I think you should not be doing by being sure about my nothingness. Q: With what, do you convince me that there will be nothingness? A: _Nothing_! Q:With what am I persuaded that there is a conclusion to this life and a hope that this place is not my home. A: _The written word_ with over 5000 confirming manuscripts called the "Texus Receptus". (no, it does not have to do with the Lone Star State) :P

The Kingdom of God and New Jerusalem.

A life long marriage, a celebration, a new home, how about a honeymoon that last 1000 years…this is what every bride wants! Oh…and that white stone with a new name isn’t bad either!

The Bible has a much to say what we can expect…

....................Jesus said:

Mark 12:25
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

We have a lot to look forward to.

Revelation 3:12
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Revelation 21:2
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

John 14:1-3."Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." (See, a new home!)

No pain, no suffering…love peace and joy!

I agree with you that Catholic churches are very boring. I go to a non-denominational church that is awsome. Full of life and love for God. (here is the website if you would like to check it out www.baysideonline.com)
We are going to have things to do in heaven. That is why Jesus always would say that in that time God will say, much I have trusted with you on earth, much more I will trust with you in heaven.
A lot of people dont seem to understand that heaven is much more different than sinful earth. No matter what you do in heaven you will be happy for God will make you happy.
The presence of God is too powerful for us to bear right now. In the new testiment when Jesus told the the people that were sent to take Him, who He was, they feel striaght to the ground.

Why dont you try finding a good non-denominational church that preaches the word of God from the bible.

you got that idea of heaven from somewhere but you didn't get it from the bible. to be with the Lord, the creator of the universe, the one who can create something from nothingness, the very One who can speak things into and out of existence... to be in his counsel.... Heaven will be exhilerating. think of the beauty of this world, when you can see it.... how far much more greater will the home of God be? heaven is the very absence of all that is evil, and the presence of all that is good.

to think of a place where a sovereign who loved you so much that He gave His son to you.... that is the extent of the love that is waiting in heaven. all that the loving heart of God would want for us, all that the awesome mind of God can concieve for us, all that the mighty hand of God can provide for us. that is heaven.

Heaven is different in everyones own view. I highly doubt that heavem is just a massive eternal mass. Heaven is a place where you are infinitely free to do whatever you want and because you are cleansed of sin and understand the meaning of it you won't ever have suffering inflicted on you or inflict suffering on others. Heaven is a beautiful place and God tells us whatever we have on Earth is worth nothing compared to the riches in heaven.

Church used to be boring to me until I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. Now I enjoy it.

Perhaps that's why heaven is only meant for those that have accepted Christ?

I have to admit nobody would ever be bored in a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth and the fire never died.

In Heaven, there is no disease, pain, suffering, crying, ... only overwhelming joy, unconditional love, and everlasting peace! And besides, we all get new heavenly bodies and get to stay in God's crib! Yay!

I'll just leave it at this. You can rest assured there will be no one in Heaven who is begging and pleading to be let out. As for your possible destination, that's up to you.
