That's why a fire safe is called a fire safe. It is intended to keep its contents safe from fire. There are separate UL ratings for burglary safes, which are intended to keep their contents safe from burglars. If you had asked if it was possible for a burglar to break into a TRTL30x6 burglary safe in two minutes using a crow bar, the answer would be no. However, forced entry into a fire safe, even in two minutes using basic tools, is not an impossibility. Nonetheless, forced entry leaves tell-tale signs, even if they are subtle in some cases. If there is no evidence of forced entry, the possibility that the burglar knew the combination should be considered.

Was your house broken into?

Even if you had a cheap little safe. No marks on the safe or around it? Was anything else taken? Odds are it is someone you know.
