went to the hdmi channel, sound came, but also a message saying no input source...changed hdmi cable, same thing..sound still occurs,when the hdmi cable is taken out, sound and the no source sign go, and when the cable is put back in, both come back. is there any setting on the tv or theatre system i can go into to change this? thanks

My guess is you need to go to the SOURCE device (which you did not even mention) and have it enable the HDMI output. Then your TV will be able to see the signal.
HDMI is not like analog video or audio. There is software behind it and not every device automatically spits signals out the HDMI port.
