Well, first and foremost, there's the fact that Christianity is nothing less than the complete abdication of all personal moral responsibility.
You're guilty of a "sin" that's not even yours, and you can only be "redeemed" vicariously via the sacrifice of another. And "redemption" is essentially defined as "that which gets us into heaven when we die," so it's really sheer superstitious selfishness.
It's no coincidence that people always find Jesus in prison and rehab.

No, I don't think there are moral reasons to avoid becoming a Christian.

1. why atheist would even cosider such stupidity ?
2. whoa!!! skipper... your *question* is the most convoluted piece of non-logic I have seen here, "moral reasons to avoid becoming a christian", wow... morality has nothing to do with religion... avoid being a christian ? why would you even worry about *avoiding* it ? it is like asking "have you stopped kicking your dog?" no good answers there, are there ?

No, none. To become a Christian is only the easy part. Doing what Jesus said to do is the difficult part.
Morality based on ones own standards have nothing to do with being a Christian. Morality based on Gods laws given down to Moses on the mountain is what counts. Becoming a Christian..and learning by obeying Jesus depends deeply on people deciding ..
A. They can do it and or are willing to TRY
B. Learning by acting ... to obey Jesus
Obeying various religions is not about learning how and why to try to be perfect as God is perfect.

If you feel that you can worship a god that condones rape, murder, slavery, child abuse and genocide then I guess the answer to your question would be no.
