Hello,

It doesn't. When the new Testament was written there were many differing groups of Christians and the RC church did not form as an entity until the 4th century and protestantism did not come about until the 16th century.

Cheers,

Protestants and Papists follow Christ. No specific sect is singled out: for example, the Bible doesn't use the phrase "Fundamentalist", yet they seem to be a rather active, though uneducated as to science, branch.

It doesn't say it anywhere. Denominations should not be a matter of controversy or question because God does not care what denomination you are, only that you have a relationship wtih Him and follow His Word according to the Bible Come judgement day God won't judge us according to our denomination or religion He will judge us according to our way of life and following His Word...The more interesting question to ask is where in the Bible does it say the Roman Catholic Church is the Universal Church of Christ? and that the pope is supreme? You will find in the Bible Paul's prophesy of the papal supremacy and the rise of false doctrines that are opposed to Bible Scripture. You will find a warning of an anti christ to come...and the only way to know the truth opposed to satans lies is the Bible: The only authorative source of God's Word.

to answer your question simply, it doesnt state anwhere in the bible about protestants or baptist being christians....as a matter of fact the bible makes no mention of denominations, and thats because thats not what God is concerned with...he is concerned with relationship and the only way for us to have that is to accept Jesus as our personal savior, be baptized, turn from our wicked ways and try as much as possible to live "Christlike" which is where the word christian origionates from

God bless
