I would like to send a package for the holidays to my little sister, but I don't know what is or isn't allowed. Also, when should I send the package, so that she will get it by or around Christmas-time??

Please provide any info and sources/links.
Thanx in advance!

I did NOT purposely post this question multiple times. I apologize if it is annoying -- it annoys me too, because my yahoo! answers has gone haywire AND I lost a lot of points.

Thanks to those who responded!!

You mean in Basic Training? Pretty much all you can send is letters and pictures, maybe a book depending on the Instructor. But they check the pictures before they give them to her and flip through the books to make sure there isnt anything hidden inside, and ive seen it actually happen, someones dad sent him a book with a square cut out of the pages with a snickers inside lol. If you really like your sister dont send her and candy or anything. I was in BMT during Valentines day and someone in my flights girlfriend sent him some candy, everyone had to do 10 pushups for each piece.

So if shes in basic just send her a letter and some pictures, if shes out of basic you can send whatever you want.
