help! i'm running out of things to say!?

i've been talking to this guy, we've been friends forever, but now things are starting to happen. when i see him we can talk for hours, but on the phone i run out of things to say. any ideas?????

First don't talk to him every day.Talk only once a week.During the week you have enough time to get some information about any subject.Politics,news,food,music,etc. In one week you are going to have a lot of material to talk about.I think my idea is good, however, you're the person with the final call.
