The spirit has a particular type of body, that it is attracted to based on its requirements, in order to fully develop all its interests and motivations, coming from what they are use to from past lives. I believe in reincarnation of the continuous form. This keeps one in the reality of this universe, and does not allow for an alternative reality type afterlife, more to one's liking. Life has cycles. When we sleep at night, our spirit will often leave the body, travel in the spiritual realm, only to return to the body before awakening. Dreams can seem really real, because they often are, but in the spiritual realm. The same spiritual realm you will find yourself in after death, and will need eventually to find the right fresh body to meet yoiur needs. Research into dreams, hypnotism, and spiritual training techniques, will give us a lot more knowledge of the spiritual in the future, than we have right now. The spiritual still needs to catch up to science in the area of updated knowledge. The focus of this life and every life, needs to be on mastering the struggle of existence, because this brings out the most in human potential, and allows one to live life to the fullest. Also one should focus on contributing positively to creating a better world, by taking on the serious problem that exist here. Any competence in this area will serve one well in the next life or lives.
