there is no way to determine the energy expenditure of one skip. the intensity at which exercise is performed at and the amount of muscle mass that the person has determines the caloric expenditure during exercise. a person with 150 lbs of muscle mass will expend substantially more calories performing exercise than another with 125 lbs of muscle mass when performed at the same level of intensity and duration. this is why everybody's caloric intake should be different as the daily caloric expenditure varies for all of us.

Well as I run on treadmills the computer thing tells me I lose about 1 calorie every 3 seconds of jogging at a reasonbal speed, so every 2 skips you probably lose 1 calory, dont take my word for granted though. So with 40 skips wou probably lost about 18-27 calories. Want to lose a bit more calories for each skip? drink green tea it helps, some people say it may not, but according to scientists on the net, it does.
