God is ultimately in control of it all......good and bad.
But.....
God is not the CAUSE of bad.......sin is.
Sin has destroyed our relationship with God.......but Christ has offered restoration between God & man.
Praise God!!

I thank God when something great happens because I know that He allowed the great thing to happen. I don't blame God when something bad happens because all bad things are brought about by sin. It may be seen as punishment by God, but it is actually just a natural by-product of our sin. Take Hurricane Katrina...how many lives would have been saved if the Army Corps of Engineers and the government of Louisianna had done the RIGHT thing with the levies in the first place? Most of the deaths were a result of the floods, not of the high winds.

We do not BLAME God.
BUT, we acknowledge His presence in all (things that passed, that is happening and that still to happen).
We do not BLAME God.
In His love, He just have to let us grow by ourselves, He gave us the choice to either bask in the darkness or deal with the situation.
He is a Father, who has let His son go... but is always ready to accept him back.
We do not BLAME God.
We acknowledge that God allows things to happen because it needs to happen, for all things, there are lessons to be learned.
If it didn't happen, would you have done something about it? Would one even be emotional about it? Would you have even heard that such a place existed?
As God exists, Evil also do exists. Acknowledge that and pray. Pray hard for people to be freed from the bondage of sin.

It seems to me Christians tend have a hard time if god causes bad things to happen. God allows the bad with the good so all may grow spiritually and learn why they believe as they do. This doesn't mean god is allowing bad things for the fun of it or is uncaring. He commands Christians to become more godly, and so know why they have the faith they do.

We praise God for all of the good things because He IS the reason that we can be able to receive the good gifts. but, just as the first person said, sin is the reason for the bad. who are WE to blame God, if we are getting what we rightly deserve...death because of sin? but happily, God gives us all a chance to be saved from death. don't get me wrong, all Christians still get the pain that others get, but we can rely on God; because GOD IS IN CONTROL!

Funny- I have observed the exact opposite. Many people couldn't care less about God up until something bad happens to him, and then they ask "Why?"
Not that he is to blame, but that's what they think.

Because the Devil is the one that causes all the bad things..sin,killing,everything...anything bad the Devil causes it..
No one should blame God for something the Devil caused..thats basically like you getting blamed for killing someone when you had nothing to do with it..No one should blame God for something He didnt do..
We should blame the Devil..after all He's what causes shootings, killing,adultery..sin basically..

God does not cause death, disease, torture, weather, etc. God created the Earth, science, people, and everything else and then let it go to see what would happen. Humans are the root cause for the bad things that happen. God doesn't need to do anything to us, we're destroying ourselves and we're disappointing ourselves.

Actually, He's been questioned a lot, especially by atheists trying to convince Christians there is no God of any sort.
I believe that He sends trials and tests every once in a while in this life time, and rewards us sometimes as well.
I'm not going to sit here and preach, but that's what I believe, and no one's changing it.

So are you saying that if we don't agree with God for not saving EVERYONE, we should rebel against Him?
Not me! You go ahead if you want to. I'm fine where I am at!
You really should read Romans 9, that is, if you don't mind getting your head on straight. If it's even possible.

Because he is a good God, who only has influence to do good. If he wanted to be a dictator and force us to do whatever he wanted us too, what would be the point? He won't stop someone from choosing to shoot someone, or stop a hurricane dead in its tracks because it is not his way to change human nature, If you want to find God in bad situations, you have to look at the good that came from them. (and before that you have to understand him and know him if you really want to be able to see him.)
