I'm an educated girl. But I seriously don't know what shall I do?? I'm just passing my time at home. I'm not married. I myself don't like to get out for job because that then means an interaction with so many strange men and all. plus the environment where I live is certainly not so good, as for my family status. There are hundreds of girls working around, but then wearing Hijab and getting out for work isn't so possible. Cooking is my passion But in todays world when I wear Hijab, getting a job of my wish isn't possible.
Neways, What shall I do?

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.
Insha'Allah, you have some choices that are possible for you.
First, seek marriage with a good Muslim man who will be able to support you so that you might stay at home where you expressed that you are more comfortable.
Second, try to find a postion where you would not have to interact with men (such a company run by women) or with as few men as possible.
Third, start your own business. As you said cooking is your "passion" could you start a catering business, a bakery, a restaurant? How about a service that provided halaal meals for elders and those who are unable to get out of their house?
Are there any other talents you have that might be made into a viable source of income? Sewing, house cleaning, teaching at an Islamic school?
Insha'Allah, I support your wearing the hijab as I encourage my daughter to do the same (although she is seven). Insha'Allah, I don't know what country you are in so my suggestions are limited by the information you supplied.
Insha'Allah, you are in my prayers.
Ma'a salaam

Well bless your heart... you poor thing.
I don't know where you live but here in America we really could care less about your religious affiliation, dress choices, or what type of work you like to do. Your life is your responsibility. Get on with it.
If you want to ware a Hijab, that's your choice. Don't expect any special consideration because of it.
If you like to cook, fantastic. Get a job as a chef or start a cooking business. Perhaps you can create a niche restaurant with ethnic cuisines that are Hijab friendly to prepare.
And yes, men are everywhere. I find it hard to believe that any reasonable religion would equate being in their presence with mortal sin.

As Salamu Alaykum,
Stay true to your religion,
I am a Muslim sister. I am home schooled and I love it. I don't mind when people look at me strange because I cover, I simply ignore them. I am not old enough to work but I usually get jobs babysitting. If I could not get a job working outside of my home I would get a stay-at- home job. There are plenty of jobs that you can do over the phone. I know a few ppl who do it & and are paid well. I like being a Muslim & I don't intend to ever give up my religion just because I cannot get a job.
Writing and reading are some of my favorite things to do. I plan to be an author one day Insha Allah (if Allah wills). I also want to be a doctor. Insha Allah my dreams will come true.
Ma'a Salamah
May Allah bless us to be strong in our faith and religion.

If cooking is your passion, that is what you should do, take a class in food preparation, very important if you want to start an internet business of delicacies and traditional Muslim food. Catering is an idea or Do research on business and internet advertising, take some classes, follow your passion and have a full happy life. With so many muslim women working and out of the home this is a great opportunity for you. If you are in america dare to dream, if you are in another country, believe in yourself and still dare to dream. It might just be a local business or turn into something bigger, family will be there to help you and support you I hope. Good luck!

There should be no reason that you could not be hired because of what you wear. If it is part of your religion or culture to Hijab (I don't know what that really is), you should be able to work in it, unless it impedes your work. If you are not hired because you refuse to wear what people call 'normal' clothes, that is singleing you out and could be considered religious discrimination (that is if it is worn because that is the say your culture is).
If you want to cook, be a chef. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't work for them because of you wearing Hijab! You have the same rights that everyone else in this country has!!!

There is nothing wrong with interacting with men if you are a Muslim girl. Also, getting a job has nothing to do with your family status. Islam is not a chain aroun your neck; it is a force of emancipation, of freedom and social egalitarianism. Follow your passions and do good for people in this world through your cooking. The only force that can stop you is your own short-sightedness. Peace.

I've seen people wearing those at work. I think the old tradition of not interacting with men isn't practical for women who want and should have promising careers.
If you like cooking then maybe attend a culinary school or open your own catering or event planning business. You could always get a job at a restaurant where muslims frequent. If you like to bake then start baking for friends parties and if you're good then word of mouth will get you noticed.
P.S. Don't let being unmarried and the Hijab limit your success.

Asalam Walaikum.
Let me start off by saying IF you do wish to work, there are many options where you can work with all women or kids. For example, you can work in a woman's home, at an all-girl's Islamic school, at a DayCare, etc.
I would also like to add that people are starting to become more open to the idea of hijab nowadays. If you love cooking, perhaps you can join a culinary institute. Show your talents and your skills and make sure that people see past your hijab.
Good luck.

Get married. Tell a sheikh in your masjid that you want to get married and to find you a good husband. In the meantime, I would take some courses at www.sunnipath.com. This is just me, you don't have to do this. But before I was married I taught at an islamic school. That takes a lot of your time. Many muslim schools almost always need teachers.
