You are only a Christian if you believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

A christian understands that only God can see the heart and doesn't try to subject people to their own arbitrary litmus tests

(while I will agree that the Bible determines what a christian is--it is surprising how many areas people feel that christians in good conscience cannot differ on).

Acts 26:28 Agrippa said to Paul, "With a little persuasion are you trying to make me a Christian?"

Christian means follower of Christ. There are false Christs, so they would be false Christians if they follow Him. (Matthew 24:5)

Trusting God:
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
( John 3 )

Living with God:
26 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. 27 And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.
( John 15 )

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." -- Luke 10:19
