Actually, friend, we don't think we are descended from a chimpanzee. We know that we shared a common ancestor with modern chimpanzees. This is evident in the fact that our DNA is nearly identical to chimpanzees. They are our nearest living relatives.

As for atheist phrases, how about "I don't believe in gods."

When a theist says "I'll pray for you", I like to respond with, "and I'll think for you."

Monotheists chose to abandon many gods in favor of one. Atheists did the same exact thing, but we just decided to believe in one god less.

Atheism - the logical choice.
