How old are you? Maybe you and your boyfriend are too young too be in a relationship and he needs to listen to his parents. Or maybe he's just a momma's boy and you need to find someone else. If he's not really young and he listens to his parents over you, that's not going to change and you are either going to have to get used to being in second place, or find someone else.

Well, how old are you guys? If your teenagers, then of course, he has to listen to his parents....that's what he should be doing. But if your older/adults, and he is still majorly influenced by his parents, say, see ya! Some men just can't leave the nest (mentally) ! My ex was that way!
Talk to him about it. It's okay to get advise from parents no matter what age you are, but if it's interfering with your relationship, its not healthy. He doesn't have to "choose", but he could tone it down a little.

Of course he should prefer his parents over you. that is the right way. he is only your boyfriend and even if you get married, Family comes first...

Wouldn't you expect him to put his family first? #1. His MOTHER gave birth to him. #2. You aren't his wife, so how does he know you are going to be around forever?
Family should always come first. My boyfriend knows better than to ever say anything about my relationship with my family just like I do with his. We may love each other, but my parents gave me life and if he can't respect them then he's got to go .

Unless he's married to you he will not put you before his family. If he did not have a good relationship with his family, then that's when you should be worried.
