Yes you are correct not eating them they are poisonous. All potatoes contain a toxin called glycoalkaloids, these are concentrated in high amounts in green/sprouting potatoes. It amazes me how supermarkets can leave them in the warm under lights they should be stored in a cool dry place. Avoiding green bits on crisps is a good idea to :-)

The greenish hue is truthfully chlorophyll, even though it is likewise a trademark that an alkaloid, spoke of as solanine, may well be contemporary decrease than the exterior of the potato. Solanine develops in potatoes whilst they are saved contained in the presence of sunshine (which additionally encourages chlorophyll formation) and the two at very chilly or extremely heat temperatures. it quite is poisonous, even though it would take an rather great style of eco-friendly potatoes to make you ill for the reason that solanine collects merely decrease than the exterior, it quite is risk-free to peel away the exterior and a skinny layer of white flesh in the past you cook dinner the potato. selfmade french fries & potato chips are the superb !!!

I remember green potatoes being deadly. Maybe that's a myth, like Global Warming.
I sometimes wonder if their smellers have gone, too. Some places wreak of rotten chicken and still let people in the door.

Their produce are not the freshest or the most natural as they are all grown with herbicides & pesticides and preservatives, not to mention are irriradiated to make them last and look edible.
Try local farm produce as its produce has less of these things and better for your health even though it does not last in the refrigerator as long.

Cos they think you might be ignorant of the toxicity of green spuds, that they might be able to exploit your ignorance, and make some profit out of you buying them.
