My dad just gave me the okay to purchase one off www.dell.com since I can pay for it in monthly payments of $15/month, is there any catch there? Anyways do you think buying a PS3 is better in the long run then buying a 360? I don't really want to buy a 360 because Microsoft always turns 360 games into PC games eventually and i'd rather play their games on PC anyways such as Gears of War for PC and probably Halo 3 for PC in the future..

you should buy which ever console has more of the games you want to play.

the 360 has a much better line up of games right now but that may change in the next year or two. More and more games are being developed for consoles and PCs at the same time these days, like Call of Duty 4 for instance. That game is also available on the PS3, the fact it also went to PC was the developers choice, not Microsoft's or Sony's.

If you can find a way to buy the system outright, do it. Stay away from that 15 dollars a month finance deal. What is the interest rate? when you are done paying for it (at 15 a month) you will have probably paid at least twice the price if you just bought it up front. Do not finance it if it can be avoided.

Yes, I do think that you should get a PS3, but there is probably a catch to buying the PS3 with just $15/month payments.

If you don't pay off the PS3 by a certain amount of time, you will be charged interest for the PS3. The $15/month payment is probably the minimum payment, and if you make minimum payments eventually in the long run you will end up paying more money for what you bought. If you choose to go with the payment option, make sure that you pay off the PS3 before the interest period kicks in or you will be charged interest.

Buying the PS3 would be the better route to go for sure. Xbox 360's still have the Red Ring of Death problem and other hardware problems. The PS3 has the best lineup of exclusives coming out for 2008 in my opinion and there is already some great games to choose from for the PS3. Plus the PS3 has more built in features than the Xbox 360.
