It really looks weird with the frindge healthy & shiny

Perms are really bad for your hair, they fry it.

If it's the ends of your hair, then you really just
need to cut off a couple inches, that hair is basically dead.
They're probably dry split ends, then they're never going to get better, you just need to cut them off.
It will look so much better.

You should get a good trim. Half an inch isn’t really going to be taking too much off the length, but it will make a huge improvement to the looks of your ends. Use a conditioner after every shampoo. Herbal Essences and Aussie from the grocery store/ drug store are good. Better is Nexxus from the hair salon. They will let you know which one is the best for your hair type. Nexxus has good conditioners that you spray on and leave in too. I personally like the Aveda cherry almond conditioner- it’s a little pricey though.

A generous oil application and massage is recommended before washing the hair. Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair. Sometimes lack of nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I have the same problem... I go to the salon about once every 3-4 months... I get a simple deep conditioning... It usually costs about 10 bucks but does wonder for your scalp and "dead" fly aways... The first day or two it looks really oily, but it goes aways real quick and it makes your hair look evenly healthy

You can give your hair an olive oil mask. You probably have it in the kitchen. Just put it on while you're in the bath for about 15 minutes. Also, you can try a beaten egg, or mayonaise. (I don't like the mayo treatment though. Makes me feel like a ham sandwich even after you wash it off) But the olive oil really does help improve the dryness.

But, if they're split, you'd better get them cut off. I didn't one time, and they split almost up to my scalp. I had to cut it all off completely short.

This might be a shampoo that is cheap, but it works soooooooo well, Pantene. They have many different brands of the kind of hair you have. So pick the one that would work best for you. My hair isnt dry anymore because i use it. Good luck! and we all know that dry hair really does stink! ( i mean the sucks kinda stink)

get it cut. thats the only way your gonna get rid off thoes dry ends. you should get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks to avoid split ends. also, use a intense conditioning treatment once a week and everytime you wash your hair use conditioner. lay off dyes and perming it for a while and use a protection spray when drying and straighting it if you ever do that

You either need to get a trim to remove the dead ends, or get a deep conditioner, and apply it only to your ends and sleep with it in. It will help keep your hair moisturized, but don't use it on the scalp and it might leave it looking greasy. :) Fructis makes a really good one that's cheap.

Why don't you try taking a break from perming and just wash and get a deep condition at your favorite salon. Treat yourself for the holidays. Okay. I hope my answer helped. Happy Turkey day!
