Attention all atheists. Please reanswer my question of what you think of the Gaia theory? Yahoo answers deleted the question.

this is exactly the problem with atheism. If it's above and beyond your capacity to reason about something, you axiomatically (sic) assume it doesn't exist. You expect a blood cell in your own body to prove YOUR existence. How could it? It's PART of you!

I am patronising, I concur. It's the fastest way to evoke an emotional response. It's just psychology.

I didn't answer that question because I don't answer questions I have no knowledge or limited knowledge of, i.e. the Gaia Theory.

You did come across as patronizing, but I don't see why the question was deleted. Apparently you violated one of Y!A's guidelines. It happens.

Your question was probably reported because of the use of "moron". It is likely that was considered offensive to both Christians and atheists alike. It is also against the community guidelines.

To answer your original question, just because you state that a theory is obvious does not mean that there is evidence, nor does it make the statement into evidence. There is no evidence that the world is a single organism nor that it has any sort of awareness.

You need to review what evidence is and how and why science works the way it does. The gist of what you will find is that evidence not only needs to exist but it is objectively verified by other experts.

Edit:
By the way, I did not report your question but was answering it and was informed that customer care had deleted it.

That the entire Earth should be looked at as an organism? It is pretty silly.

*I* didn't delete your "question".

And, I doubt that any of the R&S folks have the ability to delete questions either. I think that "they" (the deleters) live on the other side of the curtain.

Ask it again.

Thanks for the additional verbiage. Now I can see why it was deleted.
